Seth B. Greenwald, DTM serves as a senior project manager at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He’s a member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and manages civil works mega-projects in the New York/New Jersey region totaling over $6 billion.
His Toastmasters career spans nearly 14 years and includes many leadership positions such as: Club President (Hudson River Toastmasters), Area 11 Director, Division E Director, and presently is the VPPR for Westchester Advanced Toastmasters (WAT). Additionally, he’s the founding member of PMI-NYC Toastmasters Club.
Seth is the author of two books on creativity and another on public speaking. He’s the creator of two public speaking workshops, Page to Stage and Improv to Improve. His latest course called Strategic Storytelling for Project Professionals was picked up by a popular on-demand educational platform. Earning his DTM was a significant confidence builder for Seth. Before joining Toastmasters, he was prone to starting projects and then veering off course when another shiny new project came along. Completing his DTM demonstrated his ability to stay the course by focusing his energy on the road ahead.
Achieving his big, hairy, audacious goal (BHAG) was a major milestone in Seth’s Toastmasters career. However, the most valuable lesson he learned was how to set realistic goals and celebrate the small victories along the path to DTM gold. He credits completing his DTM journey as a key factor in his success as a senior project manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Seth extends his gratitude to District 46 for their support.
