The Creative Trio of Toastmasters District 46

In the world of Toastmasters, where the art of communication and leadership is meticulously sculpted, District 46 shines under the stewardship of three maestros of transformation. This is not just a tale of administrative acumen; it’s a narrative woven with the threads of innovation, inclusion, and inspiration. Let’s meet the leaders who exemplify the principle of “Leadership” by drawing from a myriad of influences to guide their chapters.

Dora Maria Abreu, DTM – District 46 Director

Dora Maria Abreu doesn’t just walk through doors; she creates them. As a Latin American woman in the tech industry, her story is not one of following paths but of trailblazing them. Dora infuses her work with the wisdom she’s gathered from across the technology, educational, and engineering landscapes, applying her multifaceted skills to foster growth within Toastmasters.

Her approach is like a mosaic, a composition of vibrant shards of web design, social media, project management, and most crucially, mentorship. Drawing from her own journey, she encourages not a single line of mentoring but a spectrum. Dora’s portfolio of leadership is as much about guiding the youth as it is about ensuring that her narrative is an open book from which others can learn—a real-time manifesto for change.

George J. Rivera, DTM – The Behavioral Maestro

George J. Rivera’s canvas is the human mind, and his brushes are the tools of Applied Behavior Analysis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. With over two decades as a special instructor and behavioral therapist, George is the Program Quality Director who understands that growth is not just about numbers, but about personal journeys and transformation.

His workshops and trainings are not mere presentations; they are performance pieces that engage and enlighten, pushing individuals to discover self-awareness as the cornerstone of personal development. George’s philosophy mirrors the creative process: iterative, empathetic, and always in pursuit of uncovering the deeper narrative of the human condition.

Joseph Aubourg, DTM – The Strategic Communicator

Joseph Aubourg, DTM – Club Growth Director

In Joseph Aubourg, we find a blend of the analytical and the artistic—a strategist with the soul of a poet. His expertise in strategic communication and political science is the sturdy framework upon which he constructs programs of quality for Toastmasters. Yet, it is his experience in various dynamic environments that imbues him with the ability to navigate the complexities of human interaction.

Joseph is the archetypal modern writer: his research, analysis, and writing are not just for paper but for practical application. He crafts scenarios where words are tested against the anvil of public speaking, understanding that the power of language is most potent when spoken. His trilingual prowess breaks barriers, weaving a tapestry of diverse voices into the narrative of District 46.

A Coda of Leadership and Creativity

In the vibrant symphony of Toastmasters District 46, Dora, George, and Joseph are the conductors, each wielding the baton with unique flair and harmony. They exemplify the notion that to lead effectively is to compose a mosaic of experiences, perspectives, and voices. Like any great piece of art, their leadership compels us to consider fresh narratives and encourages every member of District 46 to etch their eloquence and leadership onto the canvas of their personal and professional lives.
